For the past 7 years, Fairleigh Dickinson University has held the Robert T. Shields Alumni Golf Outing at the Cedar Hill Country Club in Livingston, N.J. The outing recognizes an outstanding person and a great institution, former Coach and Athletic Director Bob Shields and Fairleigh Dickinson University. FDU Alumni and former athletes come out every year for a great day of golf and fellowship. All proceeds support the Shields Field Campaign which has been established to complete the new football field at the College at Florham. This year, the event will be held on Monday, September 27, 2004.
