Study Guide for Software Testing

CONCEPTS

We have studied two types of testing - the inputs/outputs and data testing. What is the difference between the two types of testing?

Many of the techniques involved in both types of testing suggest things like "force all error messages to occur" or "explore all character sets". They are not suggesting to test every possible input/output/data. What are they suggesting that you do?

Many of the testing techniques for both types suggest testing combinations. What does this mean and why is it important?
