Richard N. Ottaway

Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Silberman College of Business

Dick earned his Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Manchester (UK). It was there that he established the first MS program in Organizational Psychology in Europe. He was awarded Fulbright Scholar in 1992. He has published over 100 scholarly papers in journals and conferences. He served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Managerial Psychology. He is currently a member of the Editorial Board of Human Resource Management International Digest. Professor Ottaway is one of the founder members of the Centre for Human Resource Management Studies (CHRMS) at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

In 1990, Dick was honored with FDU’s prestigious Distinguished Faculty Award for Teaching. He has taught and conducted research at Cranfield University, England; Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; and Northeastern University, Shenyang, China.

In addition to his time spent teaching in universities, Dick has worked within the church as a priest in the Episcopal Church. He is currently a Supply Priest for the Diocese of Newark and the Interim Rector at All Saints Episcopal Church in Leonia, NJ.
