Odysseus Makridis

Associate Professor / Philosophy

Odysseus Makridis (Ph.D., Brandeis; B.A., summa cum laude, Middlebury College) came to Fairleigh Dickinson from Brandeis University. His courses at Brandeis included 'Introduction to Philosophy,' 'Classical Political Philosophy,' 'The Idea of God,' 'Liberalism,' 'Nietzsche,' and 'Topics in Ethical Theory.' At FDU, his courses include: 'Space and Time,' 'The Problem of Evil,' 'Immortality and Reincarnation,' 'Nietzsche,' 'Critical Thinking' (forthcoming new Logic course); 'The Ethics of War,' 'Biomedical Ethics,' 'Ancient Philosophy,' and 'Social and Political Philosophy.' Makridis has also taught at Bentley College, the Holy Cross School of Theology, and - as Teaching Fellow in Ethics - at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
