Martin Green

Professor of English; Chair, English, Communication, and Philosophy

A medievalist by training, I have branched out during my career into other areas, such as communication and American Studies.

My recent research interest is the history of American periodicals. I have been researching material for a book on American popular periodicals in the 1920s. My most recent publication is an article about American periodicals from 1870-1920 in American History Through Literature, ed. Quirk and Scharnhorst (Scribners 2006)

In Spring 2008 I am teaching ENGL 3010 English Language and ENGL 3029 Chaucer and serving as chair of the English/Communication and Philosophy department.
