A medievalist by training, I branched out during my career into other areas, such as communication and American Studies.My recent research interest is the history of American periodicals. I have been researching material for a book on American popular periodicals in the 1920s. My most recent publication is an article about American periodicals from 1870- 1920 in American History Through Literature, ed.
