In this role she works closely with University CORE, the Offices of Grants & Sponsored Research, Institutional Research, Global Learning, Educational Technology and supports the University Provost in the Deans’ and Executive Councils. Dr. Diehl is not new to FDU. She first worked in the Center for Healthcare Management Studies and most recently at the Rothman Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies. Before FDU, she was the Director of Academic Initiatives at UMDNJ where she worked closely with the Institute for Clinical Research and Training. Dr. Diehl is a molecular biologist with a PhD from The University of Michigan, an MS in Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts and a BS in Mathematics from Carroll College. She has published serveral articles in Genetics and Molecular & Cell Biology and has numerous conference abstracts. Dr. Diehl spent nine years at Johns Hopkins University as Associate Chair in the Biotechnology Program. She helped develop the program from its origin to an enrollment of more than 2,200 students and 75 faculty members. While at John Hopkins University, Dr. Diehl taught courses in Advanced Biochemistry II (on-line), Recombinant DNA Laboratory, Advanced DNA Laboratory, Gene Organization and Expression and Biological Foundations of Biotechnology.Links of interest: The Chronicles of Higher Education Email address: diehl@fdu.edu | ||
