World Entrepreneurship Day at FDUWorld Entrepreneurship Day at FDU

MADISON, N.J. (April 28, 2010) – Friday, April 16 has been set aside as “World Entrepreneurship Day” by students at MIT and Fairleigh Dickinson has officially signed on as a partner. The day has been set aside to remind the world that entrepreneurs will lead us back into prosperity and growth through innovation and job creation. Students from both the College at Florham in Madison and the Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck celebrated the day.

In Madison, a group of students painted the kidney rock outside the student center with the names of some entrepreneurs and their innovations. Assisting with the painting of the stone were students from Dr. Richard Archambault’s graduate entrepreneurship and strategy class. Graduate student Althea Kitchens led the effort at the College at Florham.

On the Metropolitan Campus, six graduate students went to the U.N. Headquarters in New York City on April 14 for a kickoff meeting highlighting entrepreneurship around the world. The meeting featured a panel discussion about how entrepreneurship contributes to a better world. The panel was stocked with various entrepreneurs, including fashion designer Marc Ecko. On April 16, students from Teaneck High School came to FDU and worked with FDU juniors to brainstorm product development for Dingman’s Dairy, a local dairy company .
