Entrepreneurial Breakfast Forum Brings Attention to Women’s Business Issues

Madison, NJ (April 19, 2006) — A new women’s business empowerment initiative, “WomenCentric’s Entrepreneurial Success Breakfast Forum,” will be hosted by The Female Entrepreneurs Alliance of The Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University. The breakfast will be held Fri., May 19, from 7:45-10:30 a.m. on Fairleigh Dickinson’s College at Florham Campus, Madison, NJ.

The speakers for the May 19 event are Joan Damico, a seasoned marketing professional and author of How to Be a Permanent Temp and a contributing author of The Marketing Manager’s Handbook and Pattie Simone, published journalist, business speaker and success strategist, author of more than 300 business and lifestyle articles.

The program will feature music, breakfast and facilitated networking with other women business owners making introductions in a “Meet and Greet” segment; a Smart Biz vendor display, and an educational component, “Charting Success Paths,” where the two speakers will provide personal insight into top business issues. Topics to be included are “Big Business Branding Secrets for Small Business Success” and “Penny Pinching Marketing: Savvy Strategies to Boost Your Small Biz Profits.”

Pattie Simone is the founder of WomenCentric™, a business and life resource women’s speaking group dedicated to empowering career and entrepreneurial success through training and diverse educational programming. “What makes WomenCentric™ unique,” she said, “is that our speakers, facilitators and vendors are all successful entrepreneurs who have first-hand experience in growing their companies. Our programs, which cover serious business issues, also include elements of fun and camaraderie. Our goal is to help people make the most of their time and money, to get on track and achieve success sooner, rather than later.”

WomenCentric™ events have a charitable goal, with 10 percent of the profits donated to a non-profit agency that empowers women’s success. The May 19 program donation will go to The Red Cross for victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The program will be held at Lenfell Hall, on Fairleigh Dickinson’s College at Florham Campus in Madison, NJ. The attendee registration fee is $45 until May 10. No walk-ins are allowed, so attendees must pre-register and prepay through an online service at
