Wildlife Photography Slide Presentation
Travel and Landscape Photo Exhibit
Teaneck, NJ (March 11, 2005) — Specializing in capturing birds on film, award-winning photographer Dr. Phil Echo will present “Wildlife Photography: Basics and Tips” on Sunday, April 3 at 2 p.m. The slide presentation of his photographs will be held in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Weiner Library Auditorium, River Road, Teaneck, NJ.
The slide show will address wildlife composition and subject matter, basic pitfalls, dramatic imagery, shutter speeds, zoo photography, and safety.
Echo's photographs have been published in "Wildlife Conservation Magazine," the Potomac Museum, and Wild Bird Centers of America. He has won the "Nature Slide of the Year" Award both from the NJ Federation of Camera Clubs and the Photographic Society of America. He is past president of the Tri-County Camera Club, judge and lecturer for the NJ Federation of Camera Clubs, and a member of the Camera Naturalists Camera Club.
The FDU library will also exhibit Fred Helfst's "Travel and Landscape Photography" from April 3-April 30 on the second floor of the library. The month-long exhibit is free and open to the public Mon.-Thurs, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Fri-Sun. 12 noon-5 p.m.
Helfst, who now devotes most of his time to photography, particularly likes photographing American National Parks.
