Photographs of Western Ireland on Display in Library

Madison, N.J.- March 16, 2006 --The Library, on the College at Florham Campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, NJ, is exhibiting the color photography of Terry Conner until Friday, April 28, 2006. In addition, books by Irish authors and books about Ireland are also on view.

Conner is a self-taught photographer who purchased his first camera at the age of 14. He has been photographing people and places that catch his eye ever since. While on his honeymoon in 1972, the beauty of Ireland, its stark landscapes, rugged coastline and its “warm, wonderful people” first caught his attention. He is presently working on a two-year photographic project of western Ireland in black and white.

The exhibit will be on view from now until Friday, April 28, 2006. Library hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-11 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday, 2 p.m.-10 p.m. There is no admission charge.
