“Opportunity is Seldom Labeled” Presentation at FDU is Open to the Public
Madison, NJ (August 7, 2007) — The public is invited to hear Circuit City’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Peter Weedfald, discuss “ Opportunity is Seldom Labeled.”
Weedfald will speak at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2007, in Hennessy Hall (The Mansion) at FDU’s College at Florham in Madison, NJ. His presentation is part of the sixth annual Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies Recognition Reception.
A Fairleigh Dickinson alumnus, Peter Weedfald joined Circuit City in 2006 as general merchandise manager for all entertainment products and content. In September 2006, he was promoted to senior vice president, chief marketing officer.
Before joining the Circuit City, Mr. Weedfald held senior positions at Samsung Electronics America, a manufacturer and marketer of consumer electronics, information systems, mobile products and home appliance products. He joined Samsung in October 2001 and served as vice president strategic marketing North America from October 2001 to November 2003 and as senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Samsung North America, from November 2003 to February 2005.
Prior to employment at Samsung in 2001, Mr. Weedfald held various senior positions with ViewSonic Corporation, a worldwide provider of advanced display technology from 1998 to 2000. His titles included executive vice president and chief marketing officer of global marketing and product marketing as well as general manager of Internet appliances.
