FDU vs. Target Softball Game to Benefit Tomorrows Children's Fund
Teaneck, NJ (April 24, 2006) — Families can enjoy a fun-filled evening on Friday, April 28, 2006 when a softball team from Fairleigh Dickinson University plays a 7-inning game against a team from the Hackensack Target store. The game will begin at 6:00 p.m. on FDU’s softball field on the Metropolitan Campus in Hackensack.
The event will raise funds for Tomorrows Children’s Fund (TCF), a privately funded non-profit organization that eases the pain and suffering of children fighting cancer or serious blood disorders. Donations to TCF will be accepted before the game.
WFAN, 660 AM radio, a long-time supporter of TCF will be present and will give out a set of tickets to an upcoming Mets baseball game.
A variety of activities will be taking place between 6-8 p.m. These will include Home Run Derby, “Tricky Tray” raffles, a 50-50 raffle, and children’s crafts. Refreshments, including grilled hot dogs, soda, water, Cracker Jacks, and candy will be sold, with all proceeds going to TCF.
