Madison, NJ - (April 23, 2010) – Fairleigh Dickinson University’s College at Florham announces that music and theater courses have been added to its High School Studio at Florham Program. Outstanding freshmen, sophomores and juniors are encouraged to explore this blueprint of the summer 2010 High School Studio at Florham Program. Designed to build upon student interest and talent, courses are offered to compliment the learning process.

The first series of workshops for the "behind the scenes" visual artist is offered Monday to Friday, July 12 -16 and July 19 - July 23 from 9 a.m. - noon and also from 1 - 4 p.m. with separate morning and afternoon courses. Students choose from video game animation, screenwriting and film production, graphics such as creating an online portfolio and live web designs, and a set of fine arts courses that includes the graphic novel, watercolor and ceramic character sculpture.

The second series of workshops, designed for the performing artist, is scheduled from Monday, August 2 – Friday, August 13, 2010, with both morning and afternoon courses.  High School students unveil their talents with these newly released two-week workshops in acting, music, film and TV, play or musical theater.  Students can choose four out of the five courses offered.

All courses, taught by University faculty who are working professional artists, will be held on FDU’s College at Florham, 285 Madison Avenue, Madison, N.J. from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – noon and 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. for each of the four weeks. Class size is limited to guarantee personal attention from the FDU faculty.  Students may opt for a half-day or full-day program.

Tuition for students who enroll in a full day of workshops includes lunch.  Program cost is discounted with two or more courses. One half-day course offered for one week is priced at $400; two weeks of morning and afternoon workshops is priced at $1375.

A non-refundable deposit of $150 is due with the application along with a $20 registration fee, by May 15, 2010. Registration must be paid in full by June 30, 2010. No refunds will be given after June 30.
