November 23, 2010 -- Opera at Florham, a professional opera company in residence on Fairleigh Dickinson University’s College at Florham, 285 Madison Avenue (Route 124), in Madison, N.J., presents a “Holiday Songfest” on Sunday, December 5 at 3 p.m., in the Library’s Orangerie. Lyric mezzo-soprano Denise Mihalik, pianist/organist John Pivarnik on the keyboard, and guitarist Bruce Byrne will include selections from the classics as well as holiday music. John Pivarnik is the organist and choirmaster at Christ Church, Short Hills, and teaches piano in Madison. He often works as a freelance instrumental and vocal accompanist, and performs solo recitals in the metropolitan area. Light refreshments will be available.
