Jason Scorza Appointed to ACE Advisory CouncilTeaneck, NJ (October 29, 2008)—Jason Scorza, associate provost for global learning at Fairleigh Dickinson University, has been appointed to the ACE (American Council on Education) Internationalization Collaborative Advisory Council for a three-year term that begins in January.
ACE is the only higher education organization that represents presidents and chancellors of all types of U.S. accredited, degree-granting institutions, from community colleges to highly selective research universities.
Scorza was named an ACE Fellow for the 2007-08 academic year, one of just 39 fellows nationwide. The ACE Fellows program prepares promising senior faculty and administrators for leadership positions in university administration.
Scorza received his M.A. (1992) and Ph.D. (1997) in political philosophy from Princeton University. He is the author of “Strong Liberalism: Habits of Mind for Democratic Citizenship” (Tufts University Press, 2007) and numerous papers and articles on citizenship and civic education. He is a major contributor to FDU’s global education and distance learning initiatives.
