Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Speak at College at Florham March 4
Madison, NJ (February 17, 2008) - “Saudi Arabia in its Region and in the World” is the title of a lecture by H.E. Khalid Abdalrazaq Al-Nafisee, Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s College at Florham, Lenfell Hall (The Mansion), on March 4 at 6:30 p.m.
The Ambassador has been at the very center of the Saudi Arabian oil industry for many years. Prior to his appointment at the U.N. last November, Mr. Al-Nafisee worked for Saudi Aramco, the state-owned national oil company of Saudi Arabia. During his tenure at Aramco, he served in many positions including Vice-President of Abqaiq Plants, Power and Pipelines, from 2001 to 2008, Manager of RT Terminal Operations/Maintenance and Superintendent of Operations. He also served as President of Saudi Petroleum International Inc., from 1990 to 1992.
Mr. Al-Nafisee also worked as a Senior Chemical Engineer at C.F. Braun Company, an engineering firm in California, and served with the Saudi Army Corps of Engineers, as a First Lieutenant Engineer. Al-Nafisee holds a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Arizona, and completed the Columbia University program for managing the enterprise in 1985.
The Ambassador’s lecture at FDU is free and open to the public.
