Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies Offers Free Seminar on ‘Reinvigorating’ Family Businesses

Madison, N.J. (Aug. 13, 2009) — “Reinvigorating and Recharging Your Business” will be the topic of the Family Business Seminar at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies on Thursday, Sept. 10. The seminar is free and open to the public.

Complacency is not an effective way to meet business goals, especially in the current economic environment. Using an innovative presentation and interactive panel of companies who have “walked the talk,” family business experts Alan Wink (Amper, Politziner & Mattia) and Robert Lemaire (Sun National Bank) will provide effective strategies that any closely held firm can use to keep on the path of positive growth. Topics include revenue growth strategies, methods to engage and care for employees, leveraging a balance sheet and taking advantage of opportunities to acquire weaker firms. The seminar will run from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

“Reinvigorating and Recharging Your Business” is the first of three seminars this fall for those involved in a family business. The next two will look at the biggest challenges for the next generation and ideas for success in a difficult economy.

To register for a session, call Kim Dennison at 973-443-8880. The seminar will be held in the Rothman Forum at 285 Madison Ave., Madison, N.J. 07940. For more information about the series, visit
