Germany’s U.N. Ambassador To Speak at Fairleigh Dickinson's Metropolitan Campus
Teaneck, NJ (March 12, 2003)—Gunter Pleuger, Permanent Representative of Germany to the United Nations, will speak on "Germany and the European Expansion," at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus on March 26, 2003.
The lecture, which is free and open to public, is part of Fairleigh Dickinson’s U.N. Pathways Lecture Series, presented by the Ambassador’s Club at the United Nations.
Ambassador Pleuger’s tenure as U.N. ambassador began in November 2002 and has included Germany’s recently concluded presidency of the U.N. Security Council. His diplomatic experience spans more than 30 years, including posts in Berlin, New Delhi, New York, and Washington, D.C. He holds a Ph.D. in law and has studied at the universities of Cologne and Bonn, as well as the Ecole Nationale d’Administration in Paris.
Ambassador Pleuger’s lecture, which begins at 6:30 p.m. with light refreshments served at 6 p.m., will be held in Room 105, Muscarelle Center, on Fairleigh Dickinson’s Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, N.J.
This is the final lecture of this year’s series at FDU’s Metropolitan Campus. At the University’s College at Florham, Madison, NJ, Singapore’s U.N. Ambassador, Kishore Mahbubani, will speak on "Southeast Asia: Problems and Prospects," on April 2, 2003.
