The New York Piano Society, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 2005 by pianist Elena Leonova. “We provide a nourishing environment for amateur performers through recitals, special events with concert artists, workshops and social events. This is a service that provides opportunities for public performance and guidance if the auditioner is not performance ready,” says Leonova.
Leonova, a graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, has appeared in recitals and as soloist with orchestras at Lincoln Center, Kaufman Hall of the 92nd Street Y and Carnegie Recital Hall.
Leonova, currently on the faculty of Mannes College of Music, has taught at the New England Conservatory, SUNY Purchase and Rowan University in New Jersey. She has served on the juries of numerous international piano competitions.
