President of the National Iranian American Council has Book Signing at FDU

Madison, N.J. (March 8, 2012)—Dr. Trita Parsi, president of the National Iranian American Council, will discuss his newest book, “A Single Roll of the Dice: Obama’s Diplomacy with Iran” on March 28, 2012 from 5-7:30 p.m. at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s College at Florham as part of FDU’s United Nations Pathway Program. The Senior Fellow and Director of Foreign Policy Programs at The Century Foundation, Jeffrey Laurenti, will moderate the event. Guests of the discussion will have the opportunity to have their books signed after the presentation.

Parsi is a Middle East foreign policy expert with extensive Capitol Hill and United Nations experience. His first book, “Treacherous Alliance- The Secret Dealings of Iran, Israel and the United States,” was released in 2007 and was awarded the silver medal of the Council on Foreign Relations’ prestigious Arthur Ross Book Award. Parsi is also the recipient of the 2010 Grawemeyer Award for Ideas Improving World Order.

His most recent book, “A Single Roll of the Dice: Obama’s Diplomacy with Iran,” includes 70 interviews from high-ranking officials from the U.S., Iran, Europe, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Brazil. Parsi uncovers the previously unknown story of American and Iranian negotiations during Obama's early years as president, the calculations behind the two nations' dealings, and the real reasons for their current stalemate.

The opportunity to hear Parsi is free and open to the public. Light refreshments are available at 5 p.m. and the lecture will begin at 5:30 p.m. The United Nations Pathway Forum is sponsored by FDU’s Office of Global Learning.
