Nominating Petitions Available for 2007 New Jersey Family Business of the Year Awards Competition
Madison, NJ (March 14, 2007) — Nominating petitions are now available for the 15th annual New Jersey Family Business of the Year Awards, the only statewide effort to recognize the significant role played by family-owned companies in the economy and society at large. Completed nominations must be postmarked by April 20, 2007.
Any family-owned company which includes, or has included, more than one generation, is eligible. Nominated petitions may be submitted by anyone, including members of the family company, employees, customers, clients, vendors and/or professional advisors.
The awards were established in 1993 to honor family businesses whose innovative practices and policies have had a positive impact on both business and the community. The sponsoring organizations include The Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies at FDU; PNC Bank; New Jersey Monthly magazine; Camares Communications; PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP ; Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland and Perretti, LLP and Public Service Electric and Gas Company.
Last year, NJ Governor Jon Corzine named the day of the awards announcement as New Jersey Family Business Day.
