Real Housewife of New Jersey, Caroline Manzo, to present with panel at FDU

TEANECK, NJ (February 22, 2010) — In honor of Women’s History Month, Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus is presenting “Metropolitan Women in the Age of Reality Television,” a panel discussion featuring Caroline Manzo from Bravo Network’s hit reality series “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at 8 p.m.

The panel will discuss contemporary women’s roles in a society shaped by the media and historical contexts. Personal stories, paths to success, and the “reality” about reality TV will inspire, educate, and entertain all who attend.

Besides her work with “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” Manzo runs two businesses, Opus Properties, a real estate firm and 4 My Mom, a children’s accessories line. In addition, she serves on the board of Project Ladybug, a foundation that helps families with seriously ill children, and is affiliated with The Carolyn Gable Expect A Miracle Foundation, which helps single mothers.

Other members of the panel include Adenah Bayoh, a former Bank of America executive and a real estate developer, Victoria Nastri, manager of Affiliate Relations, Music Tevevision Network (MTV), Laura Occhipinti, founder and president of New Jersey Young Professionals, and Michelle Mercado, an E-Commerce executive. Bayoh was the 2009 recipient of FDU’s Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

The opportunity to attend this program is free and open to the public. This event is sponsored by FDU’s Office of Student Life and will be held in the Wilson Auditorium in Dickinson Hall. Fairleigh Dickinson is located at 140 University Plaza Dr, Hackensack, N.J.
