Lia A. Wagner’s Photo Exhibition, “My Berlin,” in FDU’s College at Florham Library
MADISON, N.J. (October 13, 2011)—Fairleigh Dickinson University’s College at Florham Library is proud to hold a photo exhibition, “My Berlin: Two Halves of My Life,” by Lia Wagner. The exhibition from Oct. 30 until Dec. 18 in the Monninger Center (College at Florham Library) in conjunction with FDU’s International Education week.
Wagner runs a consulting business, “Color Space,” offering clients help with color and design choices for spaces including the home, office or a trade show booth, as well as creating her own pieces for show. Wagner studied art therapy in her native Germany and worked with special needs children before achieving her dream of studying art at the elite Kunsthochschule in Berlin-Weissensee.
She also often exhibits abstracts in oils and other paintings, drawings and sculptures as well as photography. Exhibitions of her work have been held in Berlin and throughout Germany, as well as in Eastern Europe and the USA.
Wagner grew up in Birkenwerder, a small East German suburb of Berlin. She lived there for the first half of her life, and following the fall of the Berlin Wall, in 1989, spent the second half of her life in her reunited Berlin, Germany.
