Silberman College Dean, William Moore, Elected President of Regional Professional Association
Teaneck, NJ (November 13, 2008) — Dr. William Moore, Dean of FDU’s Silberman College of Business, has been elected President of the Middle Atlantic Association of Colleges of Business Administration (MAACBA), the regional professional association for business schools in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, Delaware, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.MAACBA is one of seven regional associations affiliated with the AACSB. Membership includes 131 institutions offering baccalaureate and graduate programs in business within the Mid-Atlantic region. MAACBA promotes and improves collegiate education for business in all areas within the jurisdiction of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
MAACBA meetings allow for interaction of the attendees with one another and with speakers and experts involved in each year’s program. Each year accreditation issues are dealt with as well as other important issues facing business education. A dynamic group of MBA Directors meet during the annual meeting to discuss problems and opportunities relevant to graduate programs directors.
Moore’s official 12-month appointment was made at the 2008 conference hosted by American University, D.C.
