Teresa Montani Honored at Convocation

Teaneck, NJ (October 4, 2004) —Teresa Montani was honored at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s academic convocation on September 29 with a Presidential Citation.

University President J. Michael Adams applauded Montani, associate professor of education on the University’s Metropolitan Campus, Teaneck, NJ, for her leadership in co-chairing the University Study on Internationalization.

Montani and her co-chair, Elise Salem, guided a committee of 19 faculty and administrators through a yearlong exploration of accomplishments and challenges, ending in a comprehensive assessment of the University’s efforts to fulfill an ambitious global mission. Extensive surveys of students, faculty and staff were evaluated and recommendations developed.

In presenting the award, Adams said, “For helping light the way toward future distinction in global learning and for producing indispensable guidance and direction, I gratefully present a Presidential Citation to Teresa Montani.”
