Fairleigh Dickinson University Masterís of Health receives state approval

Madison, NJ (May 13, 2014) ó Fairleigh Dickinson Universityís School of Pharmacy has received state approval from New Jersey for its Masterís of Health degree and will begin offering classes in September this year.

FDUís Master of Health Science (M.H.S.) program aims to meet the growing demand for educated and highly skilled professionals in the pharmaceutical industry, health care delivery and health science-related fields.

ďThe Master of Health Science degrees provide an added layer of innovation and opportunity for our pharmacy program,Ē said Michael Avaltroni, Dean of the School of Pharmacy. ďStudents within our program will have additional opportunities to pursue course work in the areas of Regulatory Sciences, Clinical Health Administration and Health Informatics, while working professionals and others within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and health care industries will have the opportunity to return to school for an advanced degree in one of these three emerging areas for growth and opportunity.  We are excited about the opportunities for those already enrolled in our program, and those looking to begin their studies within the School of Pharmacy and its related health science programs.ď

The 32-credit interdisciplinary M.H.S. program features blended online and face-to-face classes at FDUís Florham Campus in Madison, NJ. Faculty includes professors from FDUís Becton College in biological/allied health and chemistry/pharmaceutical sciences; the School of Pharmacy; Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies; and Silberman College of Business.
