Help for Businesses from MBA Teams
MBA consulting teams at FDU help with program in venture creation and development
Teaneck, NJ (May 28, 2009) — Each year, graduate students completing their MBA degrees at Fairleigh Dickinson University form consulting teams to partner with New Jersey based ventures to create and develop entrepreneurial and innovative business strategies, creative business models, and effective business plans.
This special program has provided services to nearly 200 organizations since its inception in 1992.
The MBA consulting teams, under the guidance and supervision of highly successful entrepreneurs, angel investors, professional experts and faculty members, collaborate with FDU’s Silberman College of Business Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship and the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies.
This program has a proven track record of accomplishment with a wide variety of businesses. It has been helpful with entrepreneurial start-up ventures seeking help in developing a sustainable business strategy, and with emerging small businesses seeking advice on how to best finance and capitalize in these turbulent times.
In addition, the MBA teams have been a valuable partner to established mid-size firms targeting future success by breaking into uncharted markets seeking business and customer intelligence critical to creating new innovative business strategies, as well as entrepreneurial minded mature companies, aware of the changing and uncertain environment, seeking fresh perspectives to make strategic portfolio tradeoffs and decisions. The teams have success stories with non-profit enterprises seeking assistance to formulate a new “business” strategy that strengthens, enhances and sustains the mission.
Interested companies should expect to spend a considerable amount of time working closely with their MBA consulting team as an extension of their company’s own management team. Applications are due by August 19, 2009, for this fall semester teams and by late January 2010 for spring semester teams.
