“Look Who’s Running the Company Now!” Panel to Examine Family Business Succession
Madison, NJ (October 3, 2007) — On Thursday, October 18, five young executives of New Jersey businesses, who have taken over the family business from their parents, will discuss the experience of holding the reigns of their family firms.
The dynamic panel of “Look Who’s Running the Company Now!” includes Chris Schaeffer of Control Instruments in Fairfield; Bob Radcliffe, Jr., of Display Dynamics in Martinsville; Peter Fehnel of Personal Mail International in Mendham; Eric Monsen of Monsen Engineering in Fairfield; and Mark Speckhart of White Conveyors, Inc. in Kenilworth.
Business succession is an issue that affects all family businesses. Some are successful, but many are not. The panel will cover their biggest challenges, what its like to take over from Mom and Dad, and how the business is progressing.
The panel moderators are Leo J. Rogers, the retired director of FDU’s Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies, and Louis Dell’Ermo, the founder and CEO of Gateway Securities.
The Family Business Forum of the Rothman Institute presents this program. It begins at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude by 10:30 a.m. Prior to the panel, a full breakfast is available. The Family Business Forum invites people who run family businesses to attend as guests of the Institute.
