Madison, NJ (March 7, 2007)—Ann Limberg, President of Bank of America New Jersey, has been selected as the 2007 Female Entrepreneurial Lecturer for the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University. This free lecture will be held on Friday, March 30, on FDU’s College at Florham campus, and the community is invited to attend.
Limberg will speak on “The Importance of an Entrepreneurial Mindset in a Large Corporation,” continuing a strong annual tradition of influential Female Entrepreneur Lecturers at the Rothman Institute. Previous speakers include Doris Drucker, who started a national manufacturing company from scratch at the age of 82; Peg Brady, Executive Director of Medical Missions for Children; and Diahann Lassus, CFP and CPA, co-founder and president of Lassus Wherley & Associates, P.C.
“We have been incredibly fortunate to have such successful and influential businesswomen as our Female Entrepreneurial Lecturers. Their advice and perspectives are invaluable to our students and the community, and they are prime examples of ambition and determination,” says James Barrood, executive director of the Rothman Institute.
Limberg, who began her career as a part-time bank teller, is now a senior executive for one of the world's largest financial institutions, where she provides statewide leadership for business, civic and philanthropic activities. She has been involved in numerous charities and civic organizations and was recognized by NJBIZ as one of 2005’s Top 25 Women of Influence in New Jersey and one of New Jersey’s Best 50 Women in Business in 2006.
The annual lecture is part of the Female Entrepreneurs’ Alliance, which was founded to educate and support women business owners. It will be held in conjunction with the awards ceremony for the New Jersey Business Idea Competition, a program designed to nurture an entrepreneurial mindset among high school students.
The event will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. and the lecture by Ann Limberg will start at 7:15 p.m. in Lenfell Hall, the Mansion, on FDU’s College at Florham campus.
