Linda Lanigan Honored With Pillar Award
Madison, NJ – September 29, 2006 – Bergenfield, N.J. resident Linda Lanigan was honored as a “Pillar” of the campus community at the Fairleigh Dickinson University Academic Convocation on Wednesday, September 27, 2006. The convocation was held in Dreyfuss Theater on the College at Florham Campus in Madison, N.J.
The Pillar Award is given annually to recognize exceptional individuals within the University, who over time, have made extraordinary contributions to the character and quality of the institution, its community and culture.
Linda Lanigan is Special Assistant to the Provost on the Metropolitan Campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University, a position she has held for 10 years. “You influence many efforts that benefit all aspects of campus life, and are widely known as THE person to get things done,” said Dr. Joseph Kiernan, Metropolitan Campus Provost, when presenting her the award. “Possessing great patience and understanding, and armed with your countless checklists, you supply the oil that makes this campus run so smoothly.”
Lanigan has served on the Campus Council, the Wellness Committee, the NCAA Certification Committee and the Middle States Self-Study Group during her years with FDU. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from FDU in 1997.
Lanigan is the wife of Bill Lanigan and the mother of Stacey and Scott Lanigan.
