“Independence Day” on display at Edward Williams Gallery

Teaneck, NJ (February 27, 2014) – Joanne Ross’s  “Independence Day” exhibit will be on display at the Edward Williams Gallery on Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus from Monday, March 3, 2014, to Friday, March 28, 2014.

Independence Day is an installation of seven life-size photographic prints depicting figures and portraits from multiple oblique perspectives. These images document a singular day in one year of gathering of people celebrating the history of American revolutionary actions.  These images bear witness to the belief in the capacity of photography to document what might otherwise remain unseen.

The Gallery is in FDU’s Edward Williams Hall, 150 Kotte Place, Hackensack, N.J. Gallery hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There is no admission charge. For directions and for more information, call 201-692-2449.
