Student Art Exhibit and Images Festival Begins in April

Animation and Film Screenings in May at Clearview 

Madison, N.J. - April 9, 2009 - The public is invited to view drawings, paintings, ceramics, sculpture and photography of senior and junior art majors at the Images Art and Music Festival and Senior Art Exhibition 2009 on Fairleigh Dickinson University's College at Florham, from Wednesday, April 14, 2009 through Monday, May 4, 2009, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Gallery in the Rothman Institute Building. This annual exhibition is sponsored by FDU’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts.

An opening reception to meet the artists will be held on Wednesday, April 14 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The reception will conclude with a performance by the FDU Chorus at 7 p.m. in Dreyfuss Theater. The chorus and chamber choir will perform songs from different eras and styles, starting with “Greensleeves” and ending with a medley of Billy Joel songs.

On Tuesday, May 5, thesis screenings, featuring 8 animations and 6 films by seniors majoring in Film and Animation will be presented at Clearview Cinemas Theaters, 72 Headquarters Plaza, South Street, Morristown, at 6:30 p.m. Admission at the door is $5; doors open at 6 p.m.
