Artist Florence Hurewitz to Display Retrospective: “Paintings and Drawings” at FDUTEANECK, N.J. (November 6, 2009)— Paintings and drawings by Florence Hurewitz will be on display at the Edward Williams Gallery, on Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, N.J. from Tuesday, December 1, 2009, to Friday, January 15, 2010.
Hurewitz’s retrospective exhibit, “Paintings and Drawings,” will feature pieces from her many decades of painting. Throughout her artistic career, her subject has always been the female figure. Hurewitz has received numerous awards for her artwork, including the Monmouth College Award for Oil Painting, two Medals of Honor from the National Association of Women Artists and the Jersey City Museum Medal for Oil Painting, Painters & Sculptors Society of N.J. She has had her artwork exhibited in over 50 exhibitions in locations all over New Jersey and the world.
