"Monopoly Madness" Dinner-Dance Benefits Scholarships
(January 30, 2001) The public is invited to join leaders in the hospitality industry, parents and friends at "Monopoly Madness," the 2001 benefit dinner-dance for Fairleigh Dickinson University’s School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. The scholarship gala will take place on Saturday, February 24, at Hamilton Park Conference Hotel in Florham Park, NJ.
"Stroll the Boardwalk" cocktail hour begins at 7 p.m. followed at 8 p.m. by a five course dinner and dancing. Guests will enjoy mozzarella Carrozza with prosciutto (Atlantic Avenue Appetizer), organic greens with broccoli rabe (Marvin Gardens Salad), and a choice of seared steak with sherry and sage or monkfish with Dijon mustard breadcrumbs in a garlic white wine sauce.
The $55 per person donation supports hospitality scholarships at both the Florham-Madison and Teaneck-Hackensack Campuses. Individual sponsorships are $150.00 and corporate tables of 10 are $2,500.00.
Hospitality majors team with the professionals at Hamilton Park to make this a five-star event. This year’s Atlantic City/Monopoly theme celebrates the School’s opening of undergraduate and graduate courses in a new facility on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City.
