Ring in the Season with Opera at Florham’s Holiday Songfest
Madison, N.J. (November 20, 2012)—The Opera at Florham will host their annual Christmas/Holiday Songfest on Sunday, December 2. This event will take place at 3 p.m. in Lenfell Hall, Hennessy Hall at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s College at Florham.
The show will consist of an array of holiday songs and sing-alongs of traditional Christmas Carols and Hebrew-Chanukah songs. Performers will include sopranos Christina Nicastro and Brenda Belohoubek, and a classically trained pianist Amanda Zook.
Nicastro is currently in her last year of classical performance study at William Paterson University where she has taken on the roles of Violetta in La Traviata, Carmen’s Micaela, and Adina in The Elixir of Love in the opera scenes program.
Belohoubek is a senior at William Paterson University majoring in music education with a concentration in voice. She has a double minor in flute and piano and has been studying music for 16 years.
Zook is currently a classical piano student, and also studies at William Paterson University where she explores the versatility of the piano as a freelance accompanist, is a member of The Harlow Trio chamber group, and is a solo pianist.
Tickets are $10 for nonmembers and $5 for students up to 22 years old. The concert is free for Opera at Florham Guild Members.
