Fredda Herz Brown a Family Business Expert will Present on the topic of Multiple Generations.
Madison, NJ (October 3, 2013) The O.Berk Company Family Business Forum’s fall seminar series will welcome Fredda Herz Brown of Relative Solutions on Thursday, October 10 at Fairleigh Dickinson University in the Rutherford Room, Ferguson Recreation Center at the College at Florham. The forum will take place from 8:00-11:00 a.m. Brown will be presenting on the topic, “Sharing Space: Multiple Generations in the Family Enterprise.”
More than ever before, generations of family members are working together. This is a result of increased longevity (along with better quality of life and health in the golden years and a desire to stay involved,) tough economic conditions leading senior members to work longer, a huge and aging Baby Boomer cohort and a strong desire on the part of many families to sustain their endeavors across generations.
This interactive workshop will discuss the developmental life situations of those born in each generation as well as their views on money, work, relationships and technology and the implications for family business leadership and generational transitions. The presenters will lead a multi-generational discussion about the impact of birth timing and historical context of each generation as compared with the dynamics of business families in general and between family branches. This talk will be geared toward family businesses, and anyone with an interest in family business is encouraged to attend.
Come meet family businesses, network, and learn about the inner workings of family firms. Open to the public. Registration required by October 8. To register please call 973-443-8842. Presented by FDU’s Silberman College of Business and Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship.
