“The Heidi Chronicles” Opens Theater Season at College at Florham
Madison, NJ (September 10, 2007) — “The Heidi Chronicles,” Wendy Wasserstein’s highly acclaimed play about the women’s movement from the 1960s to the 80s, will open the 2007-08 theater season at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s College at Florham.
This 1989 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play follows Heidi Holland from high school in the 1960s to her career as a successful art historian 20 years later. Tracking the course of the women’s movement during this period, Heidi start as an ardent cheerleader for feminism only to become disillusioned as the movement disintegrates.
“The Heidi Chronicles” opens in the Dreyfuss Theater on Wednesday, October 3 and runs through Saturday, October 6. Performances are at 8 p.m. with a 2:30 matinee on Sunday, October 7. Admission is $10. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling 973-443-8644 ext. 4.
The new theater season includes Anton Chekhov’s masterpiece, “Three Sisters,” the cult musical “The Rocky Horror Show,” and the stage version of the film “The Graduate.”
