“Beautiful Flowers” Slide Presentation and Photography Exhibit
Teaneck, NJ (February 14, 2005) — Combining his love of photography with a passion for gardening, award-winning photographer Dieter Steinmeyer will present “Beautiful Flowers as I See Them” on Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. The slide presentation of his photographs will be held in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Weiner Library Auditorium, River Road, Teaneck, NJ.
Steinmeyer’s photographs have been published in Photographers Forum, Peterson’s Photographic Magazine and Color Photo. He won “Best Abstract Photo” from The American Society of Media Photographers. For more than 20 years, he has been a member of the Ridgewood Camera Club.
He has developed a special style when photographing flowers — many from his own garden and from his favorite public gardens in South Carolina, Maine and Pennsylvania. “One of the great things about photography,” Steinmeyer said, “is that there is always something new to learn. Computers have added a whole new level of creative power to my photography …it can be frustrating but also very rewarding.”
The FDU library will exhibit Steinmeyer’s photographs along with those of Maggie Magee Molino from March 6-April 1 on the second floor of the library. The month-long exhibit is free and open to the public Mon.-Thurs, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Fri-Sun. 12 noon-5 p.m.
Molino, a native of northern New Jersey, is a digital artist, writer and award-winning photographer. She specializes in travel and nature photography.
The slide presentation on March 6 is open to the public and a $5 donation is encouraged. For further information call 201 692 2140.
