Female Entrepreneurs Alliance Lecture Series Continues
Madison, N.J. (April 30, 2009) –The Female Entrepreneur Alliance of Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies will hold four events in May and June. All presentations will be held at the Rothman Institute Forum at FDU’s College at Florham and men and women alike are welcome.
Upcoming events include: Mitigating Fraud in Closely-Held Business, FoodPreneur Bootcamp, How to Improve Brand Recognition and Customer Loyalty Using Twitter and Re-entering the Workforce- Your Future-Your Career.
“Mitigating Fraud in Closely-Held Business,” a free presentation by Darryl S. Neier, CFE, MS, Principal, Sobel & Co. will be held on Friday, May 8, 9:00-12:00 am. Neier will discuss how in today’s business environment, it is more important than ever that business owners be aware of the importance of information security and the role that having access to information can have their company’s health. Learn how business owners can become more knowledgeable about how to detect and deter white-collar crime and other types of fraud.
“FoodPreneur Bootcamp,” a seminar by Dom Celentano President of Celentano & Co. and Esther Luongo Psarakis, Managing Partner of Demeter’s Pantry and founder of the Taste of Crete will be held on May 9 and 16, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The intensive two-Saturday set of workshops is tailored to new food entrepreneurs who have a great specialty food idea but are unsure of the next steps. “How to Improve Brand Recognition and Customer Loyalty Using Twitter,” a presentation by Jonathan Goodman, President, Market Merchants Consulting will take place on Tuesday, May 19, from 9 a.m-1pm. Mr. Goodman will discuss the importance of this web 2.0 application and guide users through setting up a Twitter account. Fortune 500 businesses are using the application to increase sales and Goodman will show you how you can market to potential customers using Twitter as well. The cost is $59.
“Reentering the Workforce-Your Future-Your Career,” a presentation by Theresa Smith, Bright Moment Coaching and Consulting Services, will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2009, from 5:30 p.m. -8:30 pm. at the Rothman Institute Forum at FDU’s College at Florham. This three hour workshop on “grasping your future”, will introduce attendees to some of the strategies for overcoming their fears for re-entering the workforce, changing careers or starting their own business. They’ll begin to discover their strengths, skills and natural talents and some basic approaches to creating their resume. The cost to attend is $59.
