FDU on Film at the Westwood LibraryTEANECK, NJ (January 25, 2009)— The Visual and Performing Arts Department at Fairleigh Dickinson University will screen student films at the Westwood Free Public Library in a program called “FDU on Film: Thesis Films from FDU,” on January 28, at 7pm.
Four short films by up-and-coming filmmakers, who will be on hand for a question-and-answer time with the audience, will be shown. The four films are “Sour Flower,” “Aiden Black,” “Searching for Al Pacino,” and “Josh.”
"Sour Flower," by Andrew Rivara and Chris Schuster is about a very serious high school student who finds there are things of interest, including girls, outside of school. "Aiden Black," by Brandon Fake, Adam Maffei, and Jason Koontz, is an action flick in the same mold as Robert Ludlum’s Bourne Trilogy. "Searching for Al Pacino," by Jay Scrimmizi, follows a movie fan bent on collecting another autograph for his collection and the lessons he learns along the way. "Josh," by Jeremy Wade, is about a student athlete about to start his college career and deals with coming of age themes.
