Presentation on solving family problems in family-businesses at FDU
HACKENSACK, NJ (September 28, 2011)ó Fairleigh Dickinson Universityís Rothman Institute for Entrepreneurship will be hosting a presentation on creating harmony in family-owned firms on October 18, 2011 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Dickinson Hall as part of its 2011 O. Berk Company Family Business Forum program. Admission is free.The speaker, Jeanne Weikert, a personal development consultant, will present various case studies and discuss how conflicts in values, blurring of boundaries, and issues of control create conditions that disrupt the potential harmony in a family business. Attendees will leave the session with an increased understanding of the dynamics of their own unique situation as well as the subtle ways that a family business can impact their personal lives.
Established in 1992, The O.Berk Company Family Business Forum is the only organization of its kind in the state. Itís interactive educational programs and peer support groups help members of family-owned firms effectively deal with important issues such as succession planning, conflict management, and organizational strategy.
