Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies Offers Free Seminar in Ongoing Family Business Forum Program

Madison, NJ (March 11, 2009) — “Reducing the Cost of Succession in Today’s Society” will be the topic of the Family Business Seminar at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies on April 2. The seminar is free and open to the public.

This seminar will be presented by Andrew Bluestone of Selective Benefits Group, Basil O’Connor of Schneck, Price, Smith & King, LLP, and Jeff Jaskol of the Jaskol Group. Bluestone, O’Connor, and Jaskol will discuss the tried and true methods of business succession and transition. Current estate tax law, business valuation, transfer opportunities and life insurance options will be covered. Highlights from the new Stimulus and Recovery Bill will also be discussed. The seminar will run from 8:30-10:30 a.m.

This is the second in a series of six seminars this year for those involved in a family business. This year’s Family Business Seminars address a wide range of topics, from the changes in healthcare to how to recharge a family business and increase profits.
