Teaneck, NJ (May 14, 2008) — Mystery author E.J. Rand will share his experiences, discuss what it takes to get published and talk through the process of perfecting your craft through writing and writing groups.
“From Audience to Author” is a free presentation on Wednesday, June 11 from 7-8 p.m. It is presented by FDU’s Continuing Education in Room 1127 of Dickinson Hall, 140 University Plaza Drive, Hackensack, NJ.
E.J. Rand began writing at the age of 66 and became a published author soon after turning 70. “You’re never too young or too old to write — I’m living proof,” he said. “It’s good for the mind, and there’s something almost spiritual about creating characters and emotions that please others.”
He is the author of the Reluctant Sleuth Mystery series. Rand’s amateur sleuth deals with issues of loss and second changes. His first book, “Say Goodbye,” was published in February by Deadly Ink Press. Rand’s second book, “Perfect Cover,” will be published in December.
