Program is an International Festival
Teaneck, NJ (March 22, 2004) Ė ďInternational Festival,Ē a program of chamber music, will be performed by the All Seasons Chamber Players on the Metropolitan Campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University on Sunday, April 10. It offers a mixture of musical styles from France, Spain, Austria, and the United States for flute, violin, cello, and piano.
The program will include Jacques Ibertís engaging Two Interludes for Flute, Violin, and Piano; the charming Childrenís Games for Piano Duet by George Bizet; Aaron Coplandís Duo for Flute and Piano that begins in a thoughtful mode and moves to a wild tour de force conclusion; Joseph Hadynís rich and rhythmical Piano Trio No. 37 in D Minor; and Joaquin Turinaís Trio No. 2.
Performers for this concert will include flutist Brenda Sakofsky of New City, NY; violinist Robert Lawrence of NYC; cellist Ellen Zoe Hassman of NYC; pianists Jean Strickholm of Demarest, NJ; and guest pianist Yoojin Oh. All the performers are active professionals who play with major area orchestras, Broadway shows and summer music festivals.
The free concert begins at 3 p.m. in FDUís Edward Williams Auditorium, 150 Kotte Place, Hackensack, NJ. The auditorium is reached from Hackensack Avenue South and there is ample free parking at the door.
The public is invited to arrive as early as 2 p.m. to enjoy a reception and an art exhibit of "Self-Portraits" provided by the Fountain Gallery.
This concert is one of thirteen free, public Community Concerts for Bergen County sponsored by Bank One with additional support from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
