Can You See the Innovation? Bausch + Lomb CEO to Share his Vision
Madison NJ, (November 28, 2012) — Brent Saunders, the president and chief executive officer of Bausch + Lomb, will deliver the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship’s 7th Annual CEO Innovation Lecture on Monday, December 10, 2012.
The event will be held in Hennessy Hall, at FDU’s College at Florham in Madison, NJ from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and is sponsored by the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship.
Bausch + Lomb is one of the best-known and most respected healthcare companies in the world. Its core businesses include contact lenses and lens care products, ophthalmic surgical devices and instruments, and ophthalmic pharmaceuticals.
Saunders’ speech is entitled “The Innovation Landscape - A Vision From Eye Health.”
Mr. Saunders has significant healthcare industry expertise and a proven track-record leading business transformations and integrations. Before joining Bausch + Lomb as CEO in March 2010, he held the position of president of Global Consumer Health Care at Schering-Plough and was named head of integration for the company’s merger with Merck & Co. and for Schering Plough’s acquisition of Organon BioSciences.
Before joining Schering-Plough, Saunders was a partner and head of Compliance Business Advisory at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Prior to that, he was chief risk officer at Coventry Health Care and senior vice president, Compliance, Legal and Regulatory at Home Care Corporation of America. Saunders began his career as chief compliance officer for the Thomas Jefferson University Health System.
