Global Conference on Corporate Communication

Madison, NJ – (May 1, 2007) — Communicating global corporate responsibility, localization and globalization of issues management, global education for future leaders, and communicating to diverse and dispersed workforces are among the issues for discussion when corporate executives and university scholars meet to exchange ideas and to explore the influence of globalization on the corporate communication profession as it relates to theory, practice, roles, processes, and ethics.
The four-day conference, to be held June 1 – 4 in historic Wroxton Abbey at Wroxton College of Fairleigh Dickinson University in picturesque Wroxton Village, England, features speakers from seventeen countries: Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Australia, England, Turkey, South Africa, Canada, New Zealand, Philippines, Norway, Portugal, Brazil, Malaysia, Ukraine and Hong Kong and the U.S.A. The Conference on Corporate Communication 2007 is sponsored by the Corporate Communication Institute (CCI) at Fairleigh Dickinson University, U.S.A. in association with "Corporate Communications: An International Journal, published by Emerald Group Publishing, U.K."
The event’s keynote address, "My Country is Different: Defining Drivers of Excellence in the Global Communications Organizations of Large Multinationals," will be delivered by Peter Hirsch, Partner, and Global Leader – Corporate Affairs Discipline at Porter Novelli. Hirsch’s practice is responsible for corporate image, financial communications, investor relations, business-to-business marketing, internal communications and crisis management. He has more than twenty years of experience in corporate communication and issues management in the United States and in Europe. His international work has included representing global multinationals and governments. A member of the Public Relations Society of America, he also serves on the Board of Advisors of the Corporate Communication Institute. Hirsch is a graduate of Magdalen College, Oxford (U.K.) and speaks fluent German and French.
Papers presented at the conference will be published in the conference Proceedings and will be considered for publication in "Corporate Communications: An International Journal."
