Anthony Ambrosio, Attorney, Receives Pinnacle Award

Madison, NJ (June 7, 2004)—Anthony Ambrosio of Verona, NJ, has received the highest award Fairleigh Dickinson University can bestow on its alumni. In a ceremony held June 4, 2004, Ambrosio was inducted into The Pinnacle.

Pinnacle recipients are chosen on the basis of success or distinction in their chosen fields; significant contributions to society and humanity through public or humanitarian service; and outstanding service to the university or reflection of the unique character of Fairleigh Dickinson in their lives.

An attorney with more than 37 years of law practice experience, Ambrosio received his JD from Catholic University of America in 1966 and was admitted to the bar the same year. He has served on the faculty of both the Seton Hall and Rutgers Law Schools and has extensive experience in the areas of commercial litigation, malpractice, matrimony, and bankruptcy, as well as federal and state litigation.

During his legal career, he has served the Passaic County Legal Aid Society, Ocean County Legal Services, Newark Legal Services and the City of Newark.

As a resident of Verona, NJ, he has dedicated time to serving as a public defender and planning board attorney for the township.

Ambrosio has been a consistent supporter of Fairleigh Dickinson. In 2003, his financial generosity established the Anthony P. Ambrosio awards in FDU’s Silberman College of Business. These awards provide monetary recognition to faculty in the areas of teaching and research. Ambrosio is a member of the Silberman College Board of Advisors and works with the Office of University Advancement in its alumni cultivation efforts.

In presenting the award, University President J. Michael Adams said, “For your outstanding achievements, zealous determination and commitment to your work, family and community, Fairleigh Dickinson University honors you with The Pinnacle.”
