The All Seasons Chamber Players Opens 2005-2006 Season

Free Concert on September 11

Teaneck, NJ (August 18, 2005) — The All Seasons Chamber Players will open their new season with a special program of chamber music, “Mix and Match With the Masters,” at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Edward Williams Auditorium on Sunday, September 11, 2005, at 3 p.m.

The free concert offers a rich variety of musical styles and instrumental combinations. The first half of the program will include Mozart’s Quartet in C for Flute, Violin, Viola and Cello, K.285b; Franz Schubert’s Grand Rondeau in A for Piano Duet, and Maurice Durufle’s Prelude, Recitative and Variations for Flute, Viola and Piano. The second half of the program will focus on Brahms’ intensely concentrated and magnificent Third Piano Quartet in C.Minor, Opus 60.

Performers for this concert are professional musicians who also perform with major area orchestras, Broadway shows and summer music festivals. They include flutist Brenda Sakofsky; violinist Robert Lawrence; violist Joel Rudin; cellist Ellen Zoe Hassman; pianist Jean Strickholm and guest pianist Yoojin Oh.

The concert, presented by the Cultural Arts Department of FDU’s Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies, will be held in FDU’s Edward Williams Auditorium, 150 Kotte Place, Hackensack. The auditorium is reached from Hackensack Avenue South and ample free parking is available at the door.

The public is invited to arrive as early as 2 p.m. to enjoy a reception and art exhibit entitled “Scrapings,” featuring the works of artist Michael Mut.

This concert is one of fourteen free public Community Concerts for Bergen County of the All Seasons Chamber Players, supported by the Bank of America, with additional support from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts through grant funds administered by the Bergen County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs, the Frank and Lydia Bergen Foundation, Verizon Foundation, Datascope, Columbia Savings Bank, the Lillian P. Schenck Fund, Target and Friends of All Seasons.
