All Seasons Chamber Players Open 2011-12 Season at FDUís Edward Williams AuditoriumThe All Seasons Chamber Players will perform in a free, public concert on Sunday, October 16 at 3 p.m at FDUís Edward Williams Auditorium, 150 Kotte Place in Hackensack.
The program, entitled ďVive La France!Ē will feature chamber music for flute, cello, piano and piano duet by French composers from the 20th century. It will include Jean-Marie Leclairís Trio Sonata in D Major, Gabriel Faureís winning tuneful Dolly Suite for Piano Duet, Francois Poulencís famous Sonata for Flute and Piano and Maurie Ravelís challenging Piano Trio in A Minor. Robert Lawrence, Co-Director for programs, will introduce each selection with entertaining program notes.
Steve Beck, Guest Artist, will join the ensemble on piano for the Ravel Trio. Mr. Beck made his debut wit the National Symphony Orchestra and has toured Japan with New York Symphonic Ensemble.
Now in its 31st season, the All Season Chamber Players has performed over 650 concerts in the Metropolitan area, as well as on local cable TV
stations. Winner of the Award for Artistic Excellence from the Bergen County Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs, the ensemble has also received grants from several corporate and private sources. Ensemble performers are professional musicians who also play with major area orchestras and Broadway shows. They include Brenda Sakofsky, flute; Robert Lawrence, violin; E. Zoe Hassman, cello; and Jean Strickholm, piano.
Admission to the concert, reception and art exhibit is free and all are welcome. There is ample parking and seating and reservations are not needed.
