Adam Pitt Presents Wood Cut Prints at FDU

Teaneck, NJ (August 6, 2013) – Woodcut Drawings by Adam Pitt will be on display at the Edwards Williams Gallery on Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus from Monday, August 19 to Friday, September 27, 2013. A reception will be held on Saturday, September 21, from 2 to 4 p.m.
About the Artist
Pitt has been influenced by many different types of art from many different times in history. He finds the simplified elegant form, intensity and honesty of African and oceanic sculpture to be a large influence on his work. He is a great admirer of German Expressionism, his artistic pursuits have taken him to The Edvard Munch Museum in Oslo, Norway; the Kirchner Museum in Davos, Switzerland; and various museums and galleries in the United States, Europe, Brazil, China, Peru, Japan, Indonesia and Australia.
The Gallery is in FDU’s Edward Williams Hall, 150 Kotte Place, Hackensack, N.J. Gallery hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There is no admission charge. For directions and more information, call 201-692-2449.
